It’s been a weird year in CFB with so many up and down weeks...some things were evdident:
1- Steve Sarkisian is a marginal coach
2- Ryan Day is an awful coach
3- James Franklin cannot win the big game
4- Except for Cam Ward, the QB’s this year have been a big disappointment, especially compared to last year...
Probably a lot more but that is off the top of my head I used my vote to choose Ashton Jeanty for Heisman.
5 through 500- the Jets still suck
Oregon is screwed.
Unless it rains in the Rose Bowl, they won’t know how to handle the ball
If they let SMU get inside the low 40s then it’s an easy FG for SMU. They have a real good Kicker
It never rains in Autzen Stadium.
Funny!
Oregon has two conference champions, Oregon is Big 10 Champions and Oregon State is Pac 12 Champions.
Prepared to be impressed and surprised by Boise State.
Army is, in fact, enjoying an incredible season, and good on them. Of course, that ends this coming Saturday (Go NAVY, beat ARMY!)
Boise State has the finest running back playing in college at the moment.
Jeanty is good, but Skattebo is much funner to watch.
I’m just happy to have some meaningful games during bowl season. ESPN pretty much ruined the bowl system the past decade or so. Apparently, that was intentional.
If you’re just a football fan, some of the bowl games have pretty good match ups this year. Georgia Tech vs Vanderbilt seems evenly matched.
*** is much funner to watch.***
You’re lettin’ your Southern grammar show there, FRiend. ;)
I’m in complete alignment on 1-3. I don’t have a Heisman favorite, though I should. Hubby is pulling for Travis Hunter from Colorado.
For QB’s, I’m a DJ Lagway fan. Maybe next year?
If you take Travis Hunter off Colorado they are still a bowl team with a winning record. Jeanty literally carried Boise State to the CFP.
My comment about the QB’s was targeted at the those who were favored to be the top QB’s in the NFL draft yet failed their teams and failed to meet expectations.
- Carson Beck was awful at Georgia this season
- You never know what Quinn Ewers is going to give you
- Jalen Milroe is the most physically gifted of the top QBs but was plagued with inconsistency and was a better runner than passer at the end of the season
- Sheduer Sanders gets a little to cute at times, holds the ball to long and throws with horrible mechanics, which leads to a lot of inaccuracy.
I’m glad to hear such confidence in Boise State, actually. I just hope they don’t get pounded by a 6-seed in their first game; I’d rather see them with a play-in first.
I hate Carson Beck and Quinn Ewers. I’m glad that Beck has gotten his comeuppance. Ewers is just sort of an @-hole, IMHO.
I know Lagway isn’t a top player yet, but I do love to watch him play.
Ewers is huge MAGA. Wore a blue jacket and red tie to the game yesterday to honor DJT.
No clue about Beck.
I’m glad he’s MAGA, but I still don’t like him.
Spot on.
