Unless Trump kills Big Corn and the ethanol tax credit subsidy welfare queens of the corn belt (who have also managed to double and even triple down with wind and solar) there is no way Jr wins any battles that lessen the use of high fructose corn syrup. We will see. But my guess is that killing waste and making government efficient doesn’t mean telling Iowa Republicans that they will lose their most cherished and outrageous form of welfare. The poor food stamp unemployed mother of 4 has nothing on that crowd.

If you look at the ingredients on food labels, I believe at least 80% of food items contain high fructose corn syrup. It’s one f the cheapest sweaters available.

Not so fast - the US heavily subsidizes corn farming. It's overproduced, and one of the uses for all of that corn is corn syrup. Government created this problem, it gave corn farmers a financial incentive to produce corn syrup and getting them off the government teat won't be that easy.
