They have estimated that it may have eclipsed the Tambora eruption of 1815 and certainly eclipsed the Krakatoa eruption of 1883.

Where I am located, there are some rocks that must have been “tossed” here from 2,000 plus miles away, millions of years ago. Also some rocks “tossed” here from Kansas.
Terrestrial events. Meteors.
Two events that could, and have caused, near global extinction. Meteors and volcanism.
Nothing else, that is if one doesnt include human caused global extinction. Like nuclear war.
