Key vote SEN. CRAMER is a 'yes' on Hegseth to lead U.S. Department of Defense

Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) said Wednesday that he is supportive of Pete Hegseth’s nomination to lead the Pentagon as long as no more “surprises” emerge during his confirmation process, which has teetered in recent days amid concerns from some Senate Republicans.

Cramer, who is considered a key vote in the confirmation fight, told reporters after meeting with Hegseth on Wednesday evening that he has “no reason to not be supportive” of the former Fox News host, but cautioned that he is backing him so long as no other reports emerge that could further damage his prospects.

“Yes — that I’m likely to get to a ‘yes’ vote I’d say, yeah. I see no reason to not be a ‘yes’ vote,” Cramer said. “Again, it’s not time to vote, but yeah, I look forward to being as supportive as I can of him … barring surprises.”

Looking good this although I notice The Hill ALSO says he is sinking fast with some in the Senate as their #1 trending story.

Hard to work out what's going on!

According to their other story 3 possible impediments are:

Murkowski
Collins
McConnell

Anyone surprised...

They’d one more though I think.

Well, that just tells the opposition that they have to make up only one more report . . .

I think the "sinking fast" report was previous to this report.

Hegseth is a fighter and he has built a solid case of rebuttal against the spurious claims of the media. And he is making his case to those who can and will support him.

I don't know how true this is, but it is my understanding that Ted Budd (R-N.C.), Jim Risch (R-Idaho), Eric Schmitt (R-Mo.), Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), and Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska) are escorting Hegseth around the Senate.

In addition to these senators, Hegseth is accompanied by Eric Ueland, a former Senate aide, and Norm Coleman.

I am not amazed that a news spouting agency would provide caveats. Smells of fake news baiting.
Providing” really.

Mass confusion — Mass deception ... Who knew DuhSantis really wanted to be Defense Secretary... Sure would love to see his phone records ... Has he denied he is willing to trade political favors? IF he is not why does he NOT get to that bank of microphones he has installed and declared his desires?

If, during Hegseth’s confirmation hearing in the Senate, his mom testifies on his behalf, Hegseth will be confirmed.
