New research suggests that attractive female college students accustomed to earning high grades in person aren’t making the same marks during remote learning.
A Swedish study, published in the journal Economics Letters, probed the impact of a student’s looks on their performance, both in the classroom and online.
The better their looks, the higher their grades for some in-person courses such as business and economics, according to the study. Courses like math and physics — where scoring is based more on tests than projects, speaking and reports — did not see the connection.
But when the courses were taught online, the grades of attractive females dropped.
Attractive male students — who, according to PsyPost, “tend to be more persistent and have a greater influence on their peers” — suffered no such setback.

That’s true.
My girlfriend and I were sitting in a Paleontology lab one evening and I made some comment about “welp there is another C paper.”
She said no, she thought it was better than that but I explained that all I could ever hope for was a C. She was cute so she got A’s and a few B’s.
So I looked over and noticed that neither one of us had written our names on the finished assignments so I proposed to trade papers. Result: she got an A and I got a C.
I also told the head of the geology department that I would give him the first dollar I ever made off of my degree. Forty something years later, I still have that dollar.
NIHIL is a LATIN word meaning nothing in English.
I suggest that you focus on your own short comings/disadvantages, as well as not attempting to guess any posters sex. Your ineptitude in discerning anything of substance is glaringly high.
I think that’s a picture of Betty Crocker on her homepage.

Ow. My balls.
Back in my day there were few girls in engineering classes, and most were not attractive. There was one, however, who was very well endowed. She never seemed to do any work but got good grades. Of course we all knew why.
>> I suggest... not attempting to guess any posters sex.
Sorry, I just can’t help myself! In your case, based on a review of your posting history there “BTTT”, I’d say definitely “XX” (post-menopausal). Outside chance — a low-T double-estrogen-hormone-therapy biological-XY tranny.
How’d I do?
I look at FR early in the day, from my phone, and post BTTT on a thread I want to read thoroughly, later, when I have the time.
I used to post more; however, haven't done that in a long time. Mostly I just read a thread here and there. None of which is any of your concern, nor interest!
I easily could, but shan't, reply in kind; however, doing so would lower my IQ many points and plunge me into the gutter with you.

You’re a wise woman... wise far beyond your considerable years. Have a good night!
Lookism is a thing.
You are looking at the average not the distributions. Men have high standard deviations on most attributes. That means there are significantly more men at both end of the extremes.
Yeah that is a thing. I got passed up for promotions for women who slept their way up the chain. At one point I had a female boss who didn’t know what the hell she was doing and was always on my ass for poor performance. I had to do her job and mine and I got my ass chewed out for all of it.
Left that job and found a better one. Working for myself.
That was NOT my point at all!
There are deviations and considerable differentiations, vis-a-vis IQs/intelligence amongst ALL groups. Therefore, claiming that one sex is more intelligent than the other, is a fallacious premise.
There have also been studies, including good looking males AND females ( not just females ), that have shown that "looks matter" in some cases; re getting a better grade than one deserves, not determined by sex.
I don’t know, but I now know that I need to write a proposal to study attractive Swedish women and obtain an NSF grant to fund my 20 yr study to determine if in Swedish culture 20 yr old smoking hotties become 40 yr old smoking hotties.
Let me know how that works out. I’m going to send a proposal for a grant to fund tan line research in South Beach, Miami.
If only they got the “Quiet” part correct
Otherwise probably pretty accurate
