Several years ago, a little kid had a tantrum in my store...lying on the ground, kicking and screaming. I may have let it play out except that she was holding a china ornament and I was concerned that if it broke she might cut herself

The parents were furious with me...shouting "She must be allowed to express herself"

That kid must now be in her mid-thirties and if the past is prologue may well have kids like this little terror.

Let her express herself? In MY store, I will express MYSELF. I’d be on 911 and the parents better get their brat and themselves out before I count to 3. If she breaks the ornament then any drop of blood will be a charge of intentional and preplanning on the parents. Haven’t we learned enough from lawsuits against bakeries? Enough is enough.
