Democrat Derek Tran has defeated Republican incumbent Michelle Steel for a House seat representing California’s Orange County and Los Angeles, NBC News projects, after a contentious race that centered on the candidates’ Asian American identities and use of aggressive anti-China messaging.
Tran, an Army veteran, narrowly won in a race that came down to just a few hundred votes. His victory over Steel flips the 45th Congressional District blue, making it one of two districts to do so in a state that has largely shifted right.

Louis C. Wyman (R-New Hampshire) was declared the victor of the US Senate contest in 1974 in New Hampshire by a narrow margin on Election Day (355 votes).
A first recount gave the election instead to John A. Durkin (D-New Hampshire) by ten votes, but a second recount swung the result back to Wyman by only two votes. The state of New Hampshire certified Wyman as the winner, but Durkin appealed to the Senate, which had a sixty-vote Democratic majority.
The Senate refused to seat Wyman while considering the matter. After a long and contentious debate in the Senate, with Republicans filibustering attempts by the Democratic majority to seat Durkin instead, a special election was held, with Durkin winning handily and becoming Senator.

All a recount does is verify the numbers match. You want an audit to see if the mail-in ballots have creases, if they’re the same paper as official ballots, if the signatures match the one on file, etc., etc., etc. And then public hangings of those responsible for injecting fraudulent ballots into the system. It’s the only way to curb it, demo-commies don’t understand anything else.
this has happened far too many times to be anything but election rigging. all these ‘count until you lose’ elections (by ballot harvesting or by rank choice or whatever) must be audited up the wazoo and outlawed legislatively, and then the cheaters must be put in jail.
federal election fraud and all forms of lawfare have to be tackled and reversed on Trump’s first day. the only way to do that is put people who commit/enable/abet the crimes in jail.

As I predicted, the rats would steal the Steel seat when the counting went past election night.
We need a national law that requires all votes be counted within 24 hours and none of this “curing” nonsense.
I acknowledged the recount problem in my post. I should have used the term ‘audit’. Question still stands does California state law force an audit (or is in just a recount?) to happen if winning margin is small enough. If not can it be requested and paid for by candidate\party\donors?
The first is not necessarily true. The second is crucial, but can only happen if we show up in sufficient numbers to oust most of the GOPs incumbents with proven fighters for limited government and states' rights. The Primaries should be our focus, starting right now. The Midterms are meaningless if the Primaries don't produce better candidates.
