Washington Commanders managing partner Josh Harris and the NFL Commanders ownership group have agreed to un-cancel the Redskins (the iconic Blackfoot chief logo) history.
In a post on Facebook by Republican Montana Sen. Steve Daines, the Congressman wrote that “The censorship of the former Commanders logo was a classic case of woke gone wrong. I applaud the Commanders & the NFL for their commitment to never censor the logo again.”

I’m wondering what Trump has in store for the NFL and their free minor league system-colleges. Public funds build the stadiums and we gotta pay extra for Peacock/Amazon. Public colleges spend big money on coaches and the athletes can now market themselves. The NFL draft is illegal when 18 year old ADULTS are not able to make their own living using their own skills.
The logo won’t be back on the helmets. The team has merely agreed they won’t be erasing it from their history.
I remember they showed that ad right after the Redskins beat the Cowboys in the NFC Championship Game.

They could have simply shortened it from “Redskins” to “Reds”.
I mean you already have baseball teams named the “Giants” and “Cardinals”.
Or the Fighting Iroquois.

Not a football fan of them but do appreciate the history of the logo/team and glad, for them, to get it back.
Commanders just doesn’t have the zing. It’s blah.
