I just saw an ad for the DR vacuum on YooToob. They had two versions. Looked interesting. I don’t have that many leaves, though.

They are not cheap, $1200 for a used one on FB Marketplace... Around $4k new.

With the number of trees I have, it would pay for itself in a couple of seasons in time saved and/or hiring someone in to do it each Fall.

Yes. It’s not my skillset, for sure.

Douglas Adams was the comedy writer for the BBC who authored “The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy” in which is found a pithy line concerning the fate of a certain small dwelling in the UK:

“They knocked down Arthur’s house anyway, but it didn’t matter a pair of fetid dingo’s kidneys what happened to one cottage on an island that completely and utterly failed to exist 13 minutes later.”

I was confusing Douglas with Scott.

Dilbert once called his boss a “fetid” something or other and when he realized his boss was listening he said he was going to order something with “fetid cheese.” The boss threatned to look up the words Dilbert was using.

Yeah. Scott Adams is a national treasure.
“Dilbert” really made the grade.

I suspect that it was a “found image” that someone saw from sitting across the room at the right angle….

Good morning. Happy Humph Day!

I’m with kitteh - but the caffeine can’t kick in soon enough.

We have a major shake-up at the agency I work for. A while ago we had a new Chief Administrative Officer (I didn’t know CAO was a thing) inserted between the CIO and the CEO. Earlier this week the CIO announced she’s leaving at the end of the year. 2 of her VPs have since announced their plans to leave. One of those 2 had announced his retirement earlier in the year but was convinced to stay.

My VP and my boss both intend to stay (so they say). But I’m going to start keeping my eyes open again.

I had a decent Wordle today. Yet another where I had 2 guesses for guess 3 and picked the wrong one.

It’s been remaining chilly here, although that means walking The Princess in the low 30s and highs in the 50s for us.

Happy Wednesday.

I did a stupid. I bought a thermal imaging scope. I was up until midnight watching mice and racoons in my back yard. Now I’m tired...

We haven’t approached that yet... high in the mid 60s today and low in the low 40s... for a few more days, then we warm back up to seasonal temps...

Ah... yes.

I can see people walking along the river from across the park. 300-400 yards away. Pretty amazing it can range/detect at that distance.

I expected it to be heavier too... The old light gathering optics were much more mass-y.

Supposedly, gets about 8hrs run time on rechargable batteries. Came with a quick detach Picatinny mount, 2 batteries, charger, and a nice case.

I foresee a much better hog hunting harvest the next time I get the opportunity... There are food donation places that will take wild game after its been processed.

There’s nothing like a new toy.

I want one of these but the price is a little steep.
