Sorry to hear about the tree. We have a lot of Locust trees in a tree stand that came behind the house. We have to have someone take one down every so often. Two have fallen on the garage behind our property. Not our fault, but I don’t like to have that happen.

It was really difficult to remember what day it was when I woke up this morning due to the Monday holiday.
We got a lot more furniture wrapped and/or disassembled last night. B-I-L comes in tonight.
S-I-L wants to come Saturday to get her remaining stuff. She and B-I-L are like nitrogen and glyceride. We’ll find a way to keep them apart. Mrs. ArGee doesn’t want any of our stuff visible when S-I-L comes so it looks like some of the next few days will be getting stuff into our garage.
Yes, S-I-L is a little toxic.

We’ll probably have to do some siding repair in the Wildlands when we get there. We have a 25 yo house that we’ve maybe lived 10 years in all total.

South equatorial. Blooms in January with millions of pinhead-sized yellow-green flowers. Since we typically get 8 or 12 really temperate days in January, that means it's audibly HUMMING with hundreds of foraging bees, because it's about the only thing in bloom. It grows vigorously outward and within the canopy -- mine is maybe 40ft wide -- though not very tall: 20-25ft. GREAT shade tree. Super easy to climb around in. NOT good for planting around as it drops lots of debris, and sends up shoots as far out as its roots extend; you've practically gotta mow them, though I've been told they don't do that if you don't whittle on them.
The easy to climb around in part also means it's easy to prune out the inner competing growth and clear out below the canopy. I paid a company $1400 last time. The time before that I thinned it out myself, and my son and I hauled a literal ton to the green waste pile at the transfer station.
[HOT TIP: If you're ever in need of hauling a lotta green waste, and don't have a suitable rig of your own, rent a box truck from U-Haul. Stuff it full, roll down the door, and you don't have to mess with trying tarp your load, which is mandatory in many States. Also, the smooth floors make unloading and sweeping out a cinch.]

As long as I haz my duck I iz fine.
B-I-L made it in last night. We rented a truck for Friday evening into Saturday in case there are issues with using his movers for everything. It reduced some of yesterday’s panic to have the truck ready.
Mrs. ArGee doesn’t handle stress very well. And lots of things seem to stress her.
