I was fully functional. Kathleen and I went to “University of Scouting” and learned knots and lashings, orienteering, some camping stuff, and the dreaded ScoutBook software. A lot of it was review, but that’s okay, and we had a good lunch - hallal, because quite a few participants were Muslims, mostly women and girls - and an overall good time.
See above, I was out all day with Kathleen.
How gorgeous is that cat!! A redhead.
It’s certainly dramatic.
*yawn* ‘morning...
Something I have to do again. The papers seem to multiply while they’re up here. Not so much in the drawers, but... And the rapidity with which it is done is amazing!
Wow! Whoever would have believed that a cat’s genes could cause that deep a red? What a stuning beauty!
Good morning. I hope your day out with Kathleen was enough of a change to give you a good night’s sleep.
Two people sent me the link for the Stake Conference for yesterday’s session, but I would rather have had today’s session. I’m glad they have it up and running.
I’m still not sure how I feel about going to 1030 church, but it’s what I’m assigned, so I’ll try to adjust.
It’s 18° out and a high of 47F guessed for today. Unngh.
It’s morning here, too.
We had a nice time, and I went to bed around 9:00, having come in last in a game of Wingspan with DP, Tom, and Vlad. Tom says that he now has six, rather than five, beaver ponds in his research project, because the beavers built a new one over the Christmas break.
It’s Jameses’ and Kathleen’s birthday today. We’ll celebrate for James and have Kathleen’s Birthday Observed on February 28.
That is great! I really don’t sing very well... do a better job humming!
I’m not sure what this storm is... not supposed to arrive until Monday night into Tuesday... seems that points south of us may get more precip... we shall see...
Good Morning! I think that cat is called Rusty.... :)
It wouldn’t surprise me. My grandmother always named her cats after their color.
Beavers are amazing little engineers, aren’t they? They know exactly where to cut the tree and in what direction it will fall as well as how much to cut. Fascinating critters!
I watched the new DI on DIP, over Friday and Saturday, and Cathrine had it right when she said he was, “Rude!” I loved it. But I also loved Darlene when she said, “With respect, Sir. Shut UP!” I love that show!
Happy birthday to both the Jameses and to Kathleen, though I’m sure I’ll be able to tell her again next month.
I’m hearing that we’ll get the Weathers late on Tuesday. My husband is planning for Armageddon, like he does ...
Darlene has turned out to be a great character. The new DI has the potential to be fun. We’ll see!
I agree about Darlene. Now though, we have to worry about Dwayne’s replacement. We never did see Fidel again, but JP turned back up and Darlene and Dwayne have both returned as well as DI Poole as his own ghost. DI Parker had a role in an early episode as well as this DI. So I’m guessing most actors love their gigs in Paradise.
I hope the show goes on for a few more years. I have a lot of fun, binge-watching them when I feel sad. Guaranteed to pick me up again!
The new uniformed officer will need to be a man. Maybe it will be a white man, since the new DI is black. That would be different!
Many decades ago I knew an old fellow with a heavy accent, he used to call his orange cat “Roooosty!”
