“”The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office strongly discourages residents from conducting their own undercover investigations and arranging to meet with potential suspects,” deputies said in the release.”

Translation: Don’t make us look bad for not doing our jobs.

I say BS. Why can’t juveniles organize something like this? It isn’t like THEY tried to arrest the guy. Deputies showed up and did the arresting..

Good on the kids. One less predator on the streets (till a liberal judge releases them)..

discourage citizens from their own undercover stings? No, no no. These kids get my vote any day, although they might not get support from Asssemblyman Scott Wiener. Such mindsets are where we might get our future law enforcers and military leaders. But naturally, in California, it’s a mortal sin for a citizen to get involved in the business of “the professionals.” “Hey, kids, don’t try this at home...”

If the cops had any sense, they’d embrace and train these kids and put them to work. But again...California.

The youths did not set up this so called sting operation for the heck of it, they must have had a solid reason for it. And these kids were smart enough to collect evidence, such as recordings.

Most likely that reason they set this up on their own would have been the ineptitude of the local constabulary. Or maybe the perp had political connections where any investigation would have been severely limited and any evidence would have never been collected.

I have a feeling Kalifornia’s democrat/communists are PO’d at these kids and will get back at them.

Not letting the cops have the opportunity to organize the sting lessens the odds of danger “for everyone in the area.” No tazing, no overzealous body slamming, no chokeholds, no dogs shot, no “racial profiling.”

On second thought, I see why cops don’t want citizens involved.

Nest time kids -

Bring an adult or two who can carry a firearm. Just In Case....

Otherwise they did fine. I’d buy them a round of pizza.

Good on these kids! Not just one or two people recording, but about 20! That’s a lot of evidence. I’m really tired of the infantilization of our youth. They can take the initiative on some things, they can do some things that have real impact, they can take calculated risks. They should be allowed to do so, as they approach adulthood.
