People are social animals and most care “a lot” about what others think about them.
We still socially and publicly humiliate, only what topics are permitted to shame people with have changed. For example, think about those that run around and call everyone a racist... Or being pointed out as an anti-vaxxer, or climate change denier...
People who cheat in the elections should be shamed. They are cheating a system that serves everyone, and thereby they are cheating everyone.
I’d guess she had big political dreams.....plans for
a better position....involving Sen Casey’s assistance.
Would explain her insistence on counting illegal votes.
