Hard PASS. Very hard PASS.

Picking lint off a sweater is better spent time.

Never forget when Alan Jackson was told he couldn’t perform LIVE at a previous award show. He told his drummer to not take any drumsticks on stage. While Alan Jackson was lip syncing , the drummer was behind him, drumming without any drumsticks in his hands!

Ok, I hardly ever pay any attention to celebs, including country music ones. But I looked, and Mr Urban looked normal. I have had cowboy hats for most of my life, and to me, wearing a cowboy hat around the house, at a sit down restaurant, or some other building for more than 10 minutes (except a barn), the hat comes off.

I rarely listen to music any more, (exception: at church), so these musicians have made money without any help from me.

It’s just comical to me to see entertainers wearing cowboy hats when performing. Especially the ‘beat up cowboy hat’ look. As though they just came from mending fence in the hot sun.

Look at all the country music stars in the past that rarely if ever wore a cowboy hat. It’s like, “Hey, I’m indoors at the Opry, why keep this hat on? It’s not gonna help me sing any better.”

And this is another reason I stopped watching Award shows some years back, beside there being too many of them. I think the last one I watched was with Billy Crystal at the Oscars. They are no longer funny, nor entertaining, and only serve for celebrities to slap each other on the backs.

The only award show that is not political is The Peoples Choice Awards, or maybe they are political nowadays.

My wife still watches a couple of them, mainly for the red carpet interviews and the dresses.

I some of it last night because my wife wanted to see Lainey Wilson. She fell asleep and I changed the channel. That was the worst excuse for country music I have yet to see.

Reminds me of Jeff Bridges accepting the "Apogee Award" for Tony Stark in Iron Man.

I made it part way thru the article. Decided no interest whatsoever.....seems like these awards shows just provide the opportunity for the clueless participants to have their few minutes of virtue signalling.
