The ad, if you haven’t seen it. It ran yesterday during Packer Football:

Yep. The Gibbs were pretty spectacular. I heard their early stuff (pre-disco) as a pup. I was a fan.
I saw that commercial and got a good laugh out of it. Using Donna Pescow as the sales clerk was a nice touch as well.
BRILLIANT!!! BRILLIANT!!! BRILLIANT!!! BRILLIANT!!! BRILLIANT!!! BRILLIANT!!! BRILLIANT!!! BRILLIANT!!! BRILLIANT!!! BRILLIANT!!! BRILLIANT!!! BRILLIANT!!!
ADORED IT!
Did you notice that Donna Pescow was in the commercial.
I just Googled the commercial. It’s very clever. And Donna Pescow... LOL! (I love the Bee Gees too.)
Ha, Ha, Ha...
Disco is making a comeback. You heard it right here.
“This is WZAZ, in Chicago, where Disco Lives Forever!”
Used to disco, now I can’t remember how the dance was done.
The Honey Bee’s were pretty good too
I can never hear Staying Alive without thinking of this.

IF IT WORKS——DO NOT CHANGE IT.
They made MILLIONS with their voices.
IF IT AIN’T BROKE-—DO NOT FIX IT.
I agree with you! LOVE the Bee Gees and the Travolta Santa.
My son knows Travolta thru the Tarantino movies. I pulled up his main dance scene on Saturday Night Fever. He had no idea!
The Bee Gees are my second favorite band. Duran Duran is #1.
I love both bands. I grew up with the Disco era Bee Gees and Duran Duran.
In my pre-teen years and teen years, I was completely and utterly obsessed with Duran Duran. Whilst at slumber parties, we would watch music videos all night. When a Duran video aired, we would scream and run to the TV set in order to get a closer look.
My bedroom walls were covered with Duran Duran posters. I owned every LP and single they recorded. John Taylor was my main obsession.
Now that I’m older, I can appreciate their music more than I did when I was a silly kid. They still sound fabulous and are putting out great music.
I know the term “underrated” can be overused, but John Taylor is one of the most underrated bassist in Pop music. Nile Rodgers was his inspiration and it shows.
As for The Bee Gees, they are legendary. Incredible talent.
Loved that, too. She has aged well. Still a cutie. :)
I did. I was waiting for her to hand him something, LOL!
“Disco is making a comeback. You heard it right here.”
Disco NEVER left for some of us. I’ve still got Spandex pants and some sparkly polyester blouses around here, somewhere!
Man, was it GREAT to be 20 in the 1980’s! So much fun! :)
