How Trump Won With Hispanics
Real Clear Politics ^ | November 16, 2024 | Alfredo Ortiz

Democrats and liberal commentators are desperately trying to explain away one of the biggest shocks of the 2024 election: Donald Trump’s 46% share of the Hispanic vote, a modern-day Republican record and remarkable improvement over the 32% he received four years ago.

But their explanations demonstrate striking elitism and lack of self-awareness and accountability. For example, Rep. Greg Casar (D-TX), likely the next Congressional Progressive Caucus chair, chalked up Latino voter erosion to right-wing “misinformation.” Joe Scarborough, co-host of Morning Joe, blamed “misogyny” and racism from Latino men. Several pundits, such as CNN’s Jim Acosta, claimed Hispanics voted against their “self-interest.” And MSNBC’s Joy Reid accused Hispanics of voting against their race: “Y’all voted with … David Duke and against your …wives, sisters, and abuelas.” This kind of race essentialism – believing that Hispanics should vote solely based on their race – is the real racism, not the perceived slights the media obsesses over.... Our key finding: Hispanics have the same concerns as everyone else. Hispanics are just as concerned about their faith and families, the economy and inflation, crime, and the direction of the country as all Americans. President Trump spoke to these concerns far better than Democrats, and that’s the reason for his historic performance with Hispanics. And, it turns out, with Americans of almost all backgrounds.

A big part of it is what I have said for many years, black men and Hispanic men respond to the macho type male, white quiet masculinity of the original American population of English and Northern Europeans doesn’t grab them as much as the overt Latin type of loud and vocal, obvious macho, the swagger.

No one has mentioned it yet, so I will: Trump historically had a Latino give a speech in Spanish at one of this rallies.

I didn't know that! John F. Kennedy, besides being Catholic, really resonated with Latinos on a personal level. His wife,Jackie, was also an asset because not only was she in French and Italian, but also Spanish and gave speeches to the like!

They really have no idea that “Hispanic” is a vast, and largely fake, ethnic definition that they themselves created to divide us into tribes fighting for racial spoils.

not only was Jackie fluent* French and Italian, I meant. Jackie Kennedy spoke and gave speeches in Spanish on behalf of her husband.

I think it’s also just better communication of what’s actually being accomplished at the economic and social levels for ALL Americans — and not letting the liberals win with identity politics.

Continue to do what Trump has been doing just like he has with the other groups he has been able to keep within the new Republican fold. This is more of a warning to the establishment RINOs in the party that are salivating at ruining everything Trump has done, over the past 8 years, the minute he's gone from office....let that sink in!

What does that have to do with race and or ethnicity? I'll answer, NOTHING.

Maybe so. Trump has made masculinity something to be valued once more. See it in men of all ages, especially in GenZ males. Trump’s unabashed spirit has given half the nation back its voice.

I think it predates that....all the way back to the Roman Republic period during the Punic Wars in which the Iberian Peninsula (i.e. Spain/Portugal) was known as Hispania. See source below if interested.

Apparently, Trump did better with female voters this time compared to 2020. Chicks loved Joe Biden but they didn't like Kamala Harris.

The men in the Democratic Party are seen as effeminate.

The white libtards who came up with "Latinx" had no idea that one of the most popular Spanish-speaking TV shows in the United States is "El Gordo y La Flaca" (The Fat Dude and The Skinny Chick) and features bikini-wearing babes in hot tubs and dwarf tossing.

Not exactly woke.

Oh okay...so even more ancient...Well it’s not considered a “woke” term by today’s “woke” standards. It’s too colonial.

Now the proper lefty term is “Latin-x.”

The unvetted comedian at Madison Square Garden may have cost us the senate seats in the states of Nevada, Michigan, and Wisconsin - all close races.
