And it breaks my heart reading what so many of you all had to go through with your dear ones💔😢

If only I could help you somehow, all of you, who are struggling with situations like these.

I had a similar experience with my liberal parents, still, when they fell in feeble health, I took care of them until they departed from this Vale of Tears to be forever with the Lord😇😇

I am sorry you are going through this. I think one sister has decided to ghost my husband and me. If not, she’s not responding to messages or one from my husband asking why she unfriended him on FB. We mostly avoided talking about politics over the years. Then she asked for our point of view on Trump going to the cemetery event for the Afghan withdrawal victims (military members), and I told her that (from our viewpoint of having 5 veterans in the 2 generations of my husband and kids), we were glad that Trump cared enough to attend and the families seemed to be grateful he did.

Then she sent me something about how could military veterans support Trump after Mark Milley called him a fascist, and I said that many veterans considered Milley to be a traitor and not someone whose opinions would affect their feelings about Trump. I pointed out that Milley had conspired to work with the Chinese even before the 2020 election, participated on blocking more security for J6, and then inserted himself into the “chain of command” for orders regarding weapons, at the end of Trump’s term. She defended Milley, saying he was just trying to do what was needed to “save our democracy”. So I asked how it would be if every member of the military and/or federal employee could just do whatever their conscience said would “save us”.

Then she said her biggest worry for her grandchildren is the racism, white supremacy, etc., etc., and I said that my biggest concern is how every potential taxpayer, including infant children, now owes approcimately $300.000 toward the national debt and that the illegal immigration cannot be sustained. I used an example of the Kroger store closing at 10 p.m., then some people decide they want to get their groceries at 2 a.m., so they break into the store and take whatever they want. Then Kroger, not knowing those people, just sends the bill for the stolen goods to their regular customers. Well, that pissed her off. I asked what it the “right number” of illegal immigrants that we should be willing to support? Note that she lives in the midwest in a town of 2,000 people that has zero Blacks, and under 30 each of Asian and Hispanic heritage people. I said that it is not racist to expect people to obey the laws as to how and when they can enter the USA.

Her response was that I was being aggressive and vitriolic, and she was done talking about it other than to say that she disagreed with all of my attempts to “defend Trump”.

So, I think we are done. I have nothing to offer as to trying to reconcile.

It seems to me that the more education some people get the less common sense they seem to have.

That's because the word "education" is horribly misused these days. Sitting in a classroom for hours a day listening to some deranged leftist spew a communists world view is not "education" - it is brainwashing.

It is no coincidence that kids coming out of high school and even college can barely read or do math at the same time that leftists have taken over the school system. An actual education would give them enough knowledge to realize that most leftist ideas are fantastical garbage. You need young minds ignorant of the realities of the world in order to instill such nonsense.

My little brother, leftist, called me ‘insipid’. I needed to look that word up. It was out of context, but he still spoke with me and engaged. He died three years ago and can’t call me names anymore and I love him.

Just recently, after the election, my left-wing brother in law posted a hateful, vile, foul-mouthed screed on social media. I thought me might be joking. He wasn’t.

I jokingly responded with a suggestion that he might be suffering from TDS and to seek counseling.

I’m deleted and blocked. He now won’t respond to phone calls or texts from me.

My entire circle of friends and family are conservative. Christian, with one exception. A military guy who hasn’t seen the light.

My 90 year-old mum is an avid Trump supporter.

The leftist BIL maybe forgot that his own dad put me (son-in-law) in charge of the estate. BIL is a greedy, narcissistic leftist.

His own dad wrote me into his will as executor over his son. What’s that tell you about idiot leftists?
