The author doesn’t mention one big problem: energy. Bidung and company did everything they could to raise energy prices, stop people from investing in gasoline-powered cars, and make commuting to work unaffordable.
Here in Japan, great hybrid cars are everywhere. Friends are giving us rides in Honda and Toyota hybrids that are roomy, stylish, and powerful — a big step up from the Prius cars that have been selling in the U.S. for a long time.
My hunch is Americans will now start buying these cars and will love them.
