I wonder how you dispose of a carcass that large. Genuinely curious.
Lions and tigers and bears..................
There's a documentary on youtube.
As a young man (18)I had an opportunity with a research ear, nose, and throat surgeon to try and extract an inner ear complex from an elephant who had died at the local zoo. When we got there, almost all the flesh had been stripped, and the remaining bones were left under a tarp in the hot sun.I didn’t feel like eating meat for about 2 days. Stench was strong.
My guess is that the flesh was incinerated and the outer skin and skeleton is used for study or display somewhere. I would guess that all the organs and flesh is studied nowadays. Interesting experience for me.
I know a rabbi that used to circumcise elephants.
The pay was lousy, but the tips were great.
