Chock Full O Nuts is that heavenly coffee. Better coffee a millionaire’s money can’t buy!

Totally agree!

I also like Wawa’s Dark Roast and their Columbian coffee. Sometimes I get their Hazelnut coffee blend and mix it 1/2 & 1/2 with the Columbian so there is a lighter hint of hazelnut.

But this is my favorite—a nice cup of Covfefe:

I’m no gourmet; we love Folgers Black silk, which is a dark roast.

So, I’m not a coffee drinker - it all tastes like crap to me. Was curious though - what makes a “higher quality” coffee bean? What’s different about it than plain old Maxwell House?

So you know, Kirkland coffee (the Costco house brand) is roasted by....Starbucks. Hate to say it, but there it is.

Of what’s on the list, besides Peet’s, the only other one I’m familiar with is Stumptown. They’re he’s in Portland, OR.

I drink only French roast coffee. High temperature roasting keeps the acid low.

None of these are quality. All the beans are picked too soon and over roasted.

French Roast is so over burnt, you can’t tell what quality of beans you bought.

Once anything’s a cinder, it all tastes the same.

Coffee should taste really good, with nothing added.

Good coffees are never roasted more than “Medium” and are single origin. I highly suggest Guatemala, followed by Panama.

Our favorite coffee is San Francisco-based Jeremiah's Pick / Colombia Supremo (light roast), and Breakfast Blend (medium dark roast).

Both are sold in 10-oz. bright-orange bags of either whole or fresh-ground beans.

Very consistent high quality.

Original jingle:

Chock Full O' Nuts is that heavenly coffee, heavenly coffee, heavenly coffee . . .
Chock Full O' Nuts is that heavenly coffee.
Better coffee a millionaire Rockefeller’s money can’t buy!

Rocky didn't care for the Family name to be mocked, although the original jingle parses better.

Me too and I love the master blend, but for some reason that one is very hard to find now...at least where I live. Looks like most have replaced it with breakfast blend.

My #1 Favorite is 7-11 Columbian Coffee. I’ve purchased it by the cup for years. I also buy their ground Columbian by the bag.

If you need to add something to your coffee for flavor, the coffee is not very good IMO.

“Does anyone actually like the taste of black coffee?”

Yes!! When I order coffee at a coffee shop (rarely), I just ask for the darkest, strongest, black coffee they have. “Do you want me to leave room for cream?” “Hell no!”

And flavored coffee ... There are two smells that make me gag: Yogurt and flavored coffee.
