Yep, we never had wild animals move into rural and urban neighborhoods until we discovered climate change.

Dog is very lucky. When I first moved to California in the 90s, there was a news story of a guy in Simi Valley who heard a major racket on his back porch involving his Siberian Husky. He opened the door to see a massive mountain lion with his 90 pound dog by the throat. Still carrying the dog, it jumped over the garden wall and disappeared into the mountains. I don’t think they ever found the dog.
