One of the unique figures of the modern entertainment industry in the U.S. I believe Jimmy Buffett is still the only person who had all three of these accomplishments on his resume: a #1 Billboard hit and #1 New York Times bestselling books for both fiction and non-fiction lists.

Wonderful, melancholy song. I see him in concert 3 times long ago. People having picnics & beach balls in the air; just a very happy concert. He loved his audience.

I read that while he was in hospice at home, his friend Paul McCartney visited & played music for jimmy and his family.

One of my favorite Buffett songs. I have seen him 5 times. He played in Florida very often. Tied with Lynyrd Skynyrd for the most concerts I have seen.
