Even the Tennessee Valley Authority, that government agency that is only federal when it suits upper management, has a bunch of DEI BS going on. They even have some sort of diversity officer (and you just know that it isn't a white male, because we are the enemy these days).
Interestingly, we had an internal 'anonymous' survey about a year ago about inclusion and diversity. As I'm close to retirement and don't need to be PC any more, I answered quite honestly. More or less, I told them that this DEI nonsense was designed to include everyone .... but ME! I am fully aware that these anonymous surveys are most likely NOT anonymous, but at this point, I don't really care.
When we had a management briefing a few months later, and went over the results of the survey, they chose to NOT mention any of my comments. Wonder why...
We had about a 15 or 20 young kids all very nicely behaved and very polite all accompanied by their parents,so nice to see.

In further explanation, the tiny battery is good for 15 years without needing a charge. There is an alternative that is regularly recharged - I don't know what it costs. Since the device is installed subcutaneously, the charger is a 'paddle' that charges inductively.

Very few in my neighborhood either. The ones I did see all appeared to be age 16 or 17. So, I turned off the porch light and watched retro TV reruns. Two years ago, it was all little kids under age 10, dressed as tigers, Spiderman, ballerinas, pirates, a couple of ghosts, etc. Times sure have changed.
Our “best” hope for the immediate future is for Trump’s win to completely eradicate the Democrat Party. The evil will still be around but their little soldiers won’t have a rally-point to organize around.
Hope the chaos will last for a generation before the communists ‘weasel’ their way back into the bureaucracy.

We had a good crowd of youngsters in normal costumes.
Seems the mini-inflatable costumes were big this year.
Went through 2 bags of candy that were 18% higher-cost than last year.
Chocolates were almost double.
