TIK does a good job with his history videos. The one thing I disagree with is that Fascism must inherently be racist and/or based on racialist thought. Look no further than Mussolini. They were certainly socialist and nationalist but there was hardly any racial animus until later years when under pressure from the Nazis they adopted an antisemitic position. Indeed, there were several fascist supporters of Mussolini in Italy who were Jewish prior to that.
Yeah, that is reverse engineering. It’s like saying Nazi Germans had fascist meetings in beer halls, so fascism always involves beer. It’s well known that Mussolini thought Hitler was a retard for spending so much effort of that topic and wasn’t a race theory enthusiast.
Fascism isn’t necessarily racist just because that was a centerpiece for Nazi Germans.
It’s merely the fusion of state and corporate power and the massive suppression of the individual and his liberty.
Italy was heterogenous, Mussolini could not have afforded to exalt one race above all others. Italians would have rolled their eyes at such an approach, and dismissed him.
Scapegoats focus the discontent of the people, gets them agitated in one direction. (Alinsky’s pick-a-target strategy.) It worked in Germany, where anti-semitism was in the soil already. It certainly worked in Japan.
Racism isn’t essential to fascism, it’s just half of the bait and switch in some countries.
