When we burn fossil fuels such as oil and gas, we release heat-trapping greenhouse gases that act as a blanket abnormally warming our planet. Scientists know that this human-caused warming is the real reason hurricanes such as Helene and Milton have become more dangerous.

This is false. Warming the planet does not produce more storms or stronger storms.

The global climate models generally place more warming nearer to the poles, and less in the tropics. It is the heat differential between the poles and the tropics which generate storms. The lower the temperature differential, the number of fronts decline as do the number of storms. Moreover, as the intensity of fronts decline, the intensity of storms decline.

Exactly.

Thanks for posting that.

Stuff like this BS article only get traction because people have NO clue what drives the weather.

They play fast and loose with thermodynamics for some of their models.
The most basic “from hot yo cold it flows dammit” still applies in real life but some of their models do “Maxwell’s Demon”.

In a rational reasonable world, we’d be discussing the effects of the 19,000 underwater volcanoes and the 2022 Hunga Tonga–Hunga Haʻapai eruption. (5x power of atomic bomb, water vapor into the stratosphere, the effects will ge felt for a decade!). I find that more interesting but I guess you can’t fleece the public with natural occurrences.
