CV NEWS FEED // A pro-life pregnancy clinic has opened directly beneath Planned Parenthood’s new location in Napa, California, marking the second time the pro-life center has set up shop near the abortion mill, and sparking complaints from Planned Parenthood executives.
The Napa Women’s Center was originally located next door to Planned Parenthood, a location embraced by the Women’s Center, according to an October 22 report from CBS news.
Board President Gerry Cruz stated in a YouTube announcement during the center’s original opening in 2020 that “lives and hearts could be changed” by the pro-life clinic being right next to the abortion mill, offering free, life-affirming alternatives for pregnant women.
However, according to Gilda Gonzalez, president of Planned Parenthood of Northern California, the pro-life clinic being next door made it “untenable” for the abortion clinic to operate at that location, citing “regular protests” which were “intimidating to our patients and our staff,” according to CBS.
Consequently, Planned Parenthood moved about a mile and a half away to a new office complex in 2023. Soon after, the Women’s Center sought office space directly beneath the new Planned Parenthood clinic, leading to accusations from Planned Parenthood that they intentionally located themselves nearby again.
Cruz clarified that the pro-life clinic’s move was intended to expand their offerings, including plans to provide free ultrasounds for women, according to the CBS report.
“It was purely coincidental,” he said. “The space worked for us. The fact that Planned Parenthood is above us…we have yet to know whether that’s going to be a positive or a negative.”
Cruz admitted he understands how the move is being perceived by the proponents of the abortion mill.
“All I can say to that is I understand the perception,” he told CBS. “I think God does have a sense of humor.”
“Of course we know why there’s controversy,” said Julie Murillo, the Women’s Center’s executive director, according to the report.
“But we’re here to offer a different choice,” she said. “We’re here to offer women actual help for an unplanned pregnancy.”
sour grapes...
So let’s say they are following Planned Parenthood around.
What’s wrong with that, and what does PP want to have done about it?
Can’t let Mom hear her child’s heartbeat. It will put the lie to the ghouls’ narratives.
We can’t kill enough babies with them around!!!
If they are in the same building, they can advertise and put signs up. And PP can’t call it in as an “illegal” protest too close to them.
When the mother hears the heartbeat or sees the ultrasound very often they change their mind about killing their baby, and that really pisses off Planned Parenthood. Prochoice my ass!
There’s almost always a Lowe’s around the corner from a Home Depot.
Where I live there is a Lowes near a 84 lumber and several ACE hardwares. I go to ACE, those guys usually know what I need.
Does it put a crimp on PP’s baby body parts business? I think state should pass laws that all babies from abortions have to be sent to the state medical examiner for fetal age verification and cremation. Nobody should profit off the death of an infant.
The abortion clinics can probably cite Dept of Ag rules prohibiting other businesses in close proximity to a slaughter house.
Thanks for posting this - I’ve copied and pasted into a word.doc to share the story with other prayer warriors in front of Planned Parenthood tomorrow morning!
