It is quite a rather large 'boat'.

Years ago, someone asked Warren Buffett - you’re worth $10s of billions, why don’t you own a yacht?

His answer was (I paraphrase): my time is much more valuable, and its just another thing to worry about. It would need constant maintenance and repairs, the crew would be partying and having sex on it when I wasn’t there.... Who wants to deal with all that?

If you spend 600 million on The Epstein you deserve to lose it all before launch.

I was going to put in a bid on Gates’ superyacht. But on second thought I’ll stick with the boat I now have. Among other things, it requires less of a crew.

I worked for 20 years in a commercial shipyard. We worked on 2 yachts, the Octopus (Paul Allen) and the Cocoa Bean (not really in the same class as the Octopus). I got a tour of the Cocoa Bean but we were generally prohibited from going on the Octopus, and management had to sign NDAs. These things are incredible with the amount of detail that goes into them. One of the yachts had a stateroom separate from the other living quarters for the owner’s adult son so he could get women off the boat in the morning without his mother seeing them. We only worked on these boats because we had the only open drydocks within thousands of miles when they needed work.

It will be sold at a considerable loss. People with the money to purchase it don't want someone else's custom touches.

Custom crafted luxury items tend to sell a a considerable discount compared to what they cost to have been created.

I enjoy a cruise ship and the amenities for travel. I enjoy renting a jet ski for the afternoon for the excitement. That’s all I really need in life when it comes to boats.

I can’t imagine dropping $19-22k on a Jet Ski only to have it halve in value after one season and 100 hours of use when I can rent one for the afternoon for $200.

$100,000,000,0000 and I would change the world in ways the founders could only imagine.

It is indisputable that life’s simple pleasures are the best. I wouldn’t trade places with either Bill or Melinda.
