The leak of high-classified U.S. intelligence documents to the Iranian regime last week has triggered a much-needed counter-intelligence investigation to identify the source -- either a mole who has betrayed their country, or a cyber-hack.
The documents, which bore Top Secret/NOFORN and compartmented intelligence headers, described U.S. satellite spying on Israeli airfields as the IDF conducted exercises believed to foreshadow a massive airstrike on Iran.
The NOFORN designation means that the document cannot be shared with foreign nationals other than members of the "Five Eyes" intelligence-sharing arrangement the United States has crafted with the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.
While the possibility exists that the materials were hacked from the highly-protected SIPRNET, the government's internal data base of highly-classified materials, there have been no public reports of any hacks of the SIPRNET by external actors.
Insiders, including former Army Private Bradley Manning and NSA contractor Edgar Snowden, have divulged reams of material from U.S. government classified holdings, but the government accused both of them of espionage, not hacking.
Last year, the Justice Department arrested a 21-year-old National Guard employee in Massachusetts in connection with the leak of more than fifty Pentagon documents, many of them classified, to a social media platform called Discord.
Those documents included U.S. assessments of the war in Ukraine, reports of Mossad disaffection with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and intelligence reports on Iran's negotiating strategy with the International Atomic Energy Agency, all of them embarrassing to the United States.
In the fall of 2022, Department of Justice investigators uncovered at least ten classified documents in Joe Biden's private office that included intelligence memos and briefing materials on Ukraine, Iran, and the United Kingdom. Biden was never prosecuted for the security breach, even though most of the documents dated from his tenure

NOFORN means NO FOREIGN DISSEMINATION which includes the “5 Eyes” clique. If it could be shared with them, the NOFORN designator would not be included in the classification title.

My guess is that the top levels of the administration include numerous Iranian agents. Anyone ever heard of John Kerry? Somebody should check into him, for starters. Then there are important officials in high places.

This happens now so commonly, many incidents we don’t know about, from people who have life-long top secret security clearances like Brennan, Comey, McCabe, Milley (!!!!!) and STROZK of all people, not to mention the brains-for-mush still in office Biden who shouldn’t even still be in office...
Those security clearances are their cash cow.
But we don’t prosecute for Treason any more. When Jane Fonda and John Kerry were involved with North Vietnam and weren’t both prosecuted, that announced the end of the prosecution of Treason, unless of course, you are a conservative.

I understand there are reasons for some of this, but people like McCabe, Clapper, and Brennan (not to mention Strozk) still having a security clearance?

That must be why Frank Capra hated him... That man who was an Italian immigrant loved America more than life itself and and he produced some of America’s most patriotic and pro-American movies... But he knew FDR and he knew FDR was a hypocrite.
I’d like to think that Capra picked Lionel Barrymore for the part of Mr. Potter in ‘It’s a wonderful life’ not only because he was a great actor... But also because Barrymore was wheelchair bound and the evilness of that Potter character in his wheelchair wouldn’t be lost on those who knew Capra’s views on FDR.
I think we are forgetting the visceral hatred John Brennan, James Clapper have for Donald Trump. These guys are snakes, frankly much more powerful than Obama or Jarret. Be assured, John Brennan is the “go to” guy for anything nefarious.
