Heartbreak of Arizona mother who refused to abort conjoined twins Josiah and Isaiah

A young mother who refused to abort her conjoined twins is asking for money to fund their funeral.

Brianna Pereyda, 20, gave birth to Josiah and Isaiah at Banner UMC Tucson in Arizona on October 9, against the advice of local doctors.

The two passed shortly after being born, unable to breathe due to undeveloped organs.

Pereyda, already a mom of two healthy boys, posted the GoFundMe anticipating this, three days early.

There, she wrote that 'even after all the professional doctors [warnings], she 'couldn't find it in my heart to end two souls.' This came after doctors told her the two had no chance or survival.

'In my eyes, they are still babies,' she continued, before branding the soon-to-be late children 'a blessing from God the Almighty.

'They deserve every chance to live if that is God's plan,' she asserted, and 'deserve for me to fight for them and to live.

'I am currently making preparations with a priest and planning to have both babies blessed along with funeral arrangements and a church service.'

The then hospitalized mother-of-two went on to lay out her situation, explaining how she had ignored the initial advice of doctors after finding out about the twins' condition during a checkup 16 weeks into her pregnancy.

She was told the conjoined twins had spine, body, and organ abnormalities, and that both had 'zero chance of survival' upon being delivered, Pereyda recalled - citing how once born, they would not have the ability to breathe on their own.

'My doctors also advised to abort due to the high risk for me and my unborn babies.

'I realized my doctors are concerned about me and the babies' health due to it being a very rare pregnancy,' she continued.

My nephew was a special needs child.

He lived 6 months and 1 day.

I’ve worked with severely disabled children.

I knew what we were facing.

I have the utmost respect for any parent who commits their life to a child, no matter that child’s abilities.
