The problem is that it is also illegal for them to be on the voter roles in the first place. When they “Discovered” this problem then there was still plenty of time to notify those voters and ask them to correct the issue.

Tighten up the registration so there’s no question of eligibility to vote later on. A person can’t get alcohol without proof beforehand. Or a driver’s license. Or a firearm. Or even a credit card.
This is a nothingburger. It only involves people living here for DECADES. With valid drivers licenses for decades. Renewal is often done via the mail and if you first got your DL before the law changed....
And name another state that requires proof of citizenship to vote. Does YOURS? I think not. How many here have to show a birth certificate or passport to vote? Hmmm?

I’m possibly in that cohort. We moved from California to AZ in March 1996 & got AZ licenses. Nobody requested a BC or proof of insurance then because it wasn’t required until 2004. I assume my California DL was all they needed to show I was a citizen because I had already proved my citizenship in 1971 when I first got my license. I’m pretty sure most of the ppl who fall in this flustercuck are in the same boat.
