The NG Helo hovered for a considerable amount of time and knew exactly what they were doing.
A lame excuse like this after multiple days is an indicator of their ill intentions.

I showed this to a buddy of mine who served in the Marines. He was on the fence due to his experience with being dropped no where near the LZ and seeing rotor wash chuck tents.. pilots see it happen and try to find another spot. He says this crap shouldn’t happen but does.

The video looks like they were gonna land on the tent area to me! I cannot imagine the pilot not seeing this.
