RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – The North Carolina National Guard says a Black Hawk helicopter crew was grounded after an incident in which they flew low over a Hurricane Helene donation and supply area, blowing over three tents and scattering items in the air.

When the Blackhawk first appeared it was waved off...Do Not Land. This was ignored and the helicopter continued circling and making passes, all the while being waved off.

What’s so bad is that there were two separate incidences of a helicopter power wash. Both hit private rescue groups and their supplies.

As I noted the other day:

“Richard” move by the pilot.

If there was anyone actually leading the rescue/supply/recovery effort, frequency lists would have been distributed and the pilot would have been able to communicate with those on the ground.

Likely military (doubtful about the masks), probably NCNG, and obviously not a mechanical emergency.
