Luis’ teammate, Bill “Spaceman” Lee also had an eephus pitch. But in his case it was called the Leephus pitch (although most of us remember it as the “moon ball”.) Lee threw it in game 7 of the ‘75 series and got taken deep by a Cincinnati Red, costing the Sox their first close bid to a WS win since 1918.
