Well, considering that ancient Indus Valley cooking eventually evolved into one of the greatest cuisines in the world - and that Chicken Tikka Masala is the unofficial national dish of England - I guess East and West DO meet.
It almost had to happen, given the centuries-long state of English cooking. :^)
