Mtnclimber, I know what you meant, which is that leftists perceive palestinians as the "darker" and therefore more worthy race. And I know you're on the right side of this issue. And I know that I cherry picked the photos above. But I also know, having walked the streets at the border of Jaffa (comparatively rab) and Tel Aviv (comparatively Jewish), that skin tone is not a differentiators between muslims and Jews.

I have read two bits of science recently. One is that both Jews and local arabs are essentially descended of the previous and now gone Canaanites. The other is that local arabs (of which there are vanishingly few, most current "palestinian" arabs having immigrated [invaded] to the nascent Jewish state for the good jobs Jews created) are about 30% Jews forcibly converted to islam when mad mo's totalitarian death cult invaded from arabia in their colonialist settler wars against The Levant's native Jews (Israel) and Christian's (see Lebanon, Egypt, etc. Al.)

But the point I made above stands: Leftists use "race" as a lever for The Destruction of Western Civilization, because being called "racist" us so powerful.

Lebanese Christians were the descendants of Crusaders, many of whom were from Germany. There must be a strain of Northern European DNA (”blut”) in the Levant. German Jews were strongly interbred with “native” Germans, and Germans were interbred with Jews. Jews may not have been accepted as Germans, but German Jews, many of whom fought for Germany in the Great War, considered themselves to be Germans.

This whole racial identification business is a crock, and made to order for demagogues to stir up resentments. I recall Ambrose Bierce’s definition of patriotism: “Combustible rubbish ready to the torch of any one ambitious to illuminate his name.” Double down on racial identity.
