Pinging to those from the previous threads. I think of this as a 1980s classic, but it was actually released on the
Candy-O album in 1979, in very late December 1979.
I'm pretty sure this is also the first song that also shows up on another Freeper's "Top 50" list (SamAdams76).

Yes, as you stated, "It's All I Can Do" ranked on my Top 50 as well. As another poster states, you can't go wrong with the first two Cars albums but I'm a fan of them all, including the much maligned "Door To Door" as well as "Panorama".
My #26 song is also in the New Wave vein, and has a connection with cars as well! "Are Friends Electric?" by Gary Numan and the Tubeway Army. This came out a year before his big American hit "Cars" but this was playing on Boston rock stations in the fall of 1979. I think it's a much better effort than "Cars".
