After years of false starts, the iconic British rock band Pink Floyd has agreed to sell their recorded-music and name-and-likeness rights to Sony Music for approximately $400 million

I'm surprised they got that much, as the listener base for Pink Floyd (like me) gets older and dies off.

Also almost all their record sales come from just 4 albums. Dark Side, Wish you were Here, Animals and The Wall.

Not at all. They keep finding new fans. I drive by the university periodically and when school is in session I almost always see at least 1 Pink Floyd shirt.
