Port strike question

Will the Port Strike affect gas stations getting gas?

I have not seen any articles that state gas will be affected. I think it’s cargo containers at these ports, and gas doesn’t travel in those. But I’m not sure.

I doubt it, at least for most areas. Does anyone know if bulk carriers are part of this, or if it really just affects container ships? Even if bulk carriers are affected, most oil/gas moves through pipelines between different areas of the country (and that might include importation from Canada?), and I doubt much comes in through the ports under the strike. But I’m open to correction on that point.

Longshoreman are not involved in tanker operations.

Just container ships. Not things like ore or grain shipments. I would imagine that fuel shipments go to different ports.

And in NC the Baxter plant is shutdown. Medical facilities nationwide will experience a shortage of IV tubing and fluids, particularly dialysis patients.

I doubt it. Gas is delivered by tanker truck. not oceangoing at all.

We just sent basic supplies to elderly friends and relatives.

All we said, on our note, was ... a few emergency supplies ... you never know what this regime may do/have planned.

P.S. My family may be tired of me doing this, but every year at Christmas I send something related to emergencies and being prepared for who knows what. They kinda give me crap for it, but I know deep in their hearts they appreciate it. I’m one step ahead of them.

They used to laugh at me/my prep gifts and warnings ... until China Virus hit ... then, they really appreciated the TP, basic med supplies and other items that were unavailable ... for MONTHS!! that I’d sent, or, suggested buying, ahead of time.
