There is a tribe in Peru that is pretty clearly proto-Japanese. Same rare DNA defect.

But they did not "discover" Peru. They were probably refugees that washed up on shore.

There are structures in South Americas, Chile I think, that are as large as the Giza pyramids and older, putting the arrival back to at least 2500-3000 BC.
