The war on drugs is a waste of taxpayers money. For those who want to tempt death for a high time, they will find a way, and there will always be those ready and willing to supply the drugs for profit. No amount of government intervention, policies, laws, will change human behavior. I think there is some truth to this article, but perhaps the coverage of the danger and very high death rate has more to do with the decline of fentanyl use, and I am always sceptical of gov. stats.

It was really a war on the people. And the added incentive of civil asset forfeiture - essentially against the law to carry money. Diamond dealers, people shopping for vehicles wanting to pay cash and other businesses (legitimate ones) get caught up in this. Greed and stupid laws punish the wrong people sometimes.

And making drugs illegal makes them expensive.

Which means there is a high profit margin for illegal activity.

So, more illegal = more drug cartels = more crime.

****** THAT statement is what liberals just don’t understand-the “rank and file” liberals, that is. Then we have the ones in political office- the Marxists-they DO understand- for them it’s all about power and control and money.

We still need to find the traffickers and deal with them. Very, very harshly.
