She said something at her townhall like….

Kamala just said we’ve got to talk to people so they understand and then they’ll be understanding.

I've been looking at the Brennan Center for Justice. It's almost as if diffuse lefty ideology, phobias and agendas have been distilled into concise reports. It makes for interesting skimming.

I came across a 13-page downloadable PDF discussing the Posse Comitatus Act.  Skimming isn't going to do it; I'm going to read it as I think it lays out the lefty agenda in dismantling the Act, and the direction of their legal challenges should the Insurrection Act every be employed by a Conservative. Perhaps if looney Harris wins, all interest in reforming the Act will evaporate, as the assertion in the article is that it's left open and vulnerable to presidential excesses.

Here's an excerpt:

"This report proceeds in three parts. Part I discusses the dangers of using the military for domestic law enforcement, a concern that has been prominent in American legal thinking since the nation’s founding. It also explains how the Constitution approaches domestic deployment of the military, including the central role accorded to Congress. Part II lays out the array of problems that undermine the Posse Comitatus Act, from its many statutory exceptions to its lack of meaningful enforcement mechanisms. Finally, part III lays out a legislative proposal for fixing each of these shortcomings."

I fell into opposition research by accident today. I keep finding articles that make me stare in disbelief. This must be the result of my decision many years ago to get rid of my television set.

From Tesla To Trump: Behind Musk's Giant Leap Into Politics

October 11, 2024

"As the 2024 election approaches, Musk's political evolution represents a new force in American politics: a tech titan with vast wealth, media influence and authoritarian leanings, Hass added."

ransomnote: Did no one notice Bill Gates in control of a sizable chunk of public medicine? Is there amnesia regarding Mark Zuckerberg's  Zuckerbucks, which tilted the playing field in the last election? Bezos wielding the Washington Post like a political hammer? The Google monstrosity working to define reality? Our government used Twitter Titans to control public speech. But NOW we're supposed to be afraid of Elon Musk because he doesn't let the government censor X.com?
