Both pledged the same fraternity and were frat brothers.

And for those wondering...yes, that is our (Alma’s) registered tartan plaid.
Senator Peters often wears it in a tie or pocket-chief in public appearance.
And, yes, he was presented a full kilt and sporran not too long ago.
To my knowledge, he doesn’t wear it.

And if he did wear it and you have to ask 😉, you don’t know a Scot.
