Scientists have long puzzled over the origins of auditory hallucinations, a symptom that affects many with schizophrenia. A recent study from researchers in China and the United States may have cracked a crucial part of this longstanding enigma, potentially paving the way for better treatments and understanding of this often-misunderstood condition.
Study authors conclude that auditory hallucinations may result from a combination of two distinct impairments in the brain’s ability to process and predict sensory information. Their findings, published in the journal PLOS Biology, suggest that these hallucinations arise from a complex interplay between motor and sensory systems in the brain rather than simply being a product of overactive imagination or sensory processing gone awry.
Why do I think they are studying this to turn people into schizophrenics?
The lithium frenzy is bullshit. And it’s getting deeper and deeper.
Oh, and those weren’t “leach pads” in that meme, they’re evaporation ponds and they’re in the Atacama desert where there are places where it hasn’t rained in like a hundred years. If there is a bird there, it’s lost and its going to die anyway.
I never thought I needed an excuse for the voices in my head... (ARF!)
They ALWAYS play Nessun Dorma, but sometimes it is in the mix before Trump shows up..

AMAZING!!!!
This video is incorrect if Emhoff is the largest investor in BlackRock he would be a multibillionaire and one of the world’s wealthiest.
Albermarle has applied for a permit and the city of Kings Mountain, the North Carolina Dept. of Environmental Quality and the federal government agencies the Dept. of Defense, Dept. of Energy and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have to issue permits, not FJB nor KH.
The public can participate in the permitting process, most states have a 30 day period for comments. Most cities have actual meetings scheduled where the permit is discussed and the public is allowed to comment.
The mine in Kings Mountain is not the largest lithium mine in the world. The largest lithium mine in the world is the Greenbushes Lithium mine in Australia. The current top ten lithium mines reside in Australia, Chile or China. Albermarle is a major investor in the Greenbushes mine and the Wodgina Lithium mine both in Australia.
The Kings Mountain mine already exists and the plan is to reopen it. Based on Global Lithium Resources the mine is predicted to have 5.9 million metric tons of lithium.
You and I are helping finance this with the government granting Albermarle a $250 million grant for the mine.
If the gentleman in the video lives in the area in question and seriously wants to try to stop it he needs to get a group of like minded individuals and go to the meeting in Kings Mtn. when the permit will be discussed. He also can send comments to the state of North Carolina they have a 30 day comment period. Producing videos with inaccurate information helps no one in Kings Mountain or Chimney Rock.

“predicted to have 5.9 million metric tons of lithium”...
Ore, probably at about 1-2% actual lithium content.
YOW!
Really,my sister Germaine was schizophrenic She went to God at 59.It was brought on by pot.
He wasn’t.
I have the professional and the Imperial.
Both still strung up and playable.
I have an amazing stringer!
I also scoured EBay to get playing models of ALL the rackets I used from Jr. High through college.
Kramer Autograph, Wilson ProStaff, Yamaha YFG30 and PDP Professional (Roscoe Tanner’s racket).
The only one I can’t get (in playing condition) is the one I started with, my mother’s Spalding “Pancho Gonzales”.
It pushes $250 for a good condition, original model.
Sounds like you have a chunk of ingot from a “pig” of silicon as grown by Intel. Totally useless until you send it to a Japanese guy to cut it into wafers.
I’m not sure how big or what shape they “grow” them now but when they were getting started, in the 60’s, the pigs were about 6” in diameter and they grew them to about a foot long——pure silicon.
And, oh, yeah, your basic geologist guy would not recognize it. Strange sight for rockhounds also. I expect things have wobbled around but it used to take five countries to make a usable silicon chip. Intel grew ‘em. Japan sliced them. The Souks parted and sized them. Taiwan etched them. then Japan and china assembled them into an actual chip. Just the air travel alone made them valuable.
That guy is quite the artist.
:: You got an unlucky draw, having to play against the eventual winner ::
The first round bye meant we were seeded in and they weren’t.
The eventual winners just were hitting on all cylinders and carrying momentum.
We played well, just not well enough.
It helped that they are a seasoned team and play together often.
Thanks for the boost from the Permian!
Trump-—ratcheting? Ain’t it fun to watch? He keeps telling the DSers what he’s going to do to them. And folks keep giving him new idears. And he keeps telling Mumbles what needs to be done AFTER the election to save hisownass. Remember there are butts hanging out from the first 4 Trump years. Over here, I’m just sitting on the curb clapping and mailing checks.
Why not?
That’s the type of helo NC needs/
