This video is incorrect if Emhoff is the largest investor in BlackRock he would be a multibillionaire and one of the world’s wealthiest.
Albermarle has applied for a permit and the city of Kings Mountain, the North Carolina Dept. of Environmental Quality and the federal government agencies the Dept. of Defense, Dept. of Energy and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have to issue permits, not FJB nor KH.
The public can participate in the permitting process, most states have a 30 day period for comments. Most cities have actual meetings scheduled where the permit is discussed and the public is allowed to comment.
The mine in Kings Mountain is not the largest lithium mine in the world. The largest lithium mine in the world is the Greenbushes Lithium mine in Australia. The current top ten lithium mines reside in Australia, Chile or China. Albermarle is a major investor in the Greenbushes mine and the Wodgina Lithium mine both in Australia.
The Kings Mountain mine already exists and the plan is to reopen it. Based on Global Lithium Resources the mine is predicted to have 5.9 million metric tons of lithium.
You and I are helping finance this with the government granting Albermarle a $250 million grant for the mine.
If the gentleman in the video lives in the area in question and seriously wants to try to stop it he needs to get a group of like minded individuals and go to the meeting in Kings Mtn. when the permit will be discussed. He also can send comments to the state of North Carolina they have a 30 day comment period. Producing videos with inaccurate information helps no one in Kings Mountain or Chimney Rock.

“predicted to have 5.9 million metric tons of lithium”...
Ore, probably at about 1-2% actual lithium content.
