----- Oxford definition -----
met·a /ˈmedə/
adjective: meta
(of a creative work) referring to itself or to the conventions of its genre; self-referential. "the enterprise is inherently “meta,” since it doesn't review movies, for example, it reviews the reviewers who review movies"
------------------
So, in other words - "meta" is a 'circular reference';
"Critical thinking is emotionally draining because one becomes emotionally drained when critically thinking"
A gaslighting nonsensical term, typical of modern day Leftists ...........
Circular reasoning:
LesLIE Stahl: That’s been debunked.
Trump: How so?
LesLIE Stahl: Because it’s been debunked................
Meta as it’s now used in tech parlance means ‘all encompassing’.
Like Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg’s company is now called ‘Meta’ and their logo symbol is the infinity symbol as a ribbon, AKA a Möbius strip.
Also you hear the term ‘meta data’ which means data that tells about other data but not the contents of that data, for example, telephone logs about the calls times and to whom, but not the contents of the calls themselves.
Like many other words, ‘meta’ definition can change over time to mean different things to different eras and topics.
Would that be ‘meta-meta’?....................😁
It’s self-referential regarding the studies. The researchers analyzed 170 other analyses they themselves didn’t do.
