In my view, folks do not have a choice of being able to turn off their critical thinking.
Some have it and analyze every situation. It doesn’t matter what it is.
I was accused 40 years ago of thinking to much. That was USAF.
I to this day do not know what that means.
It boils down to preservation.
People don’t like it, I guess.
IT CAN BE A GOOD THING OR A BAD THING DEPENDING ON THE SITUATION.
When I was in the Marines, a Test Instrument Calibration tech, we had a guy that would try to theorize everything but he couldn't repair stuff. He over analyzed every little problem, while others would dive right into the same problem and have a solution when this guy was still thinking about it...............
I have analyzed your whole post, and agree.
Ah, yes: That one time, 40 years ago, when you asked your sergeant why you had to paint those rocks along the pathway. Fun times!
Well, at least no one has accused you of that since then.
(heh-heh!)
Regards,
How much critical thinking does it take to know that 2 + 2 does not equal anything but 4?
