Is that all?
4 million users.
That works out to more than $1,000 per customer.
I wonder if individual merchants and corporations have to pay Starlink for access to customers?
Motorola created Iridium satellite phone like 30 years ago, and it bankrupted the whole company.
Musk is taking big risk.
And at times it slows down to almost dial up speed because of too masy users on the bird’s bandwidth.
We have Starlink. I absolutely think it’s worth the $120 a month. We had Consolidated Communications for 15 years and week after week, after week, I’d call and complain. We’d have to shut our phones down and a computer to watch tv at night. The day I had had enough, is when I couldn’t do payroll because the internet was down and they couldn’t get to it for 3 days. I ended up going to the library.
Starlink has never let me down. We can stream whatever we want, there’s 9 devices on it most days and it hasn’t snowed yet, but so far, so good.

🚨 ALERT: Asheville, NC is a TOTAL blackout zone, so we’ve set up TWO Starlink Stations for Public Use
Even NC State Police aren’t able to connect to cellular networks, so they’re using our Starlinks now.
SPOT 1:
DoubleTree Hilton Downtown
199 Haywood
SSID: SORTOR STARLINK
Pass: ncstrong
SPOT 2:
Asheville Shelter

Spread this for ANYONE in the affected area. It’s been days since anyone’s been able to connect to cellular out here.
@ChrisHallWx
and I have had these up and running for an hour, and I lost count of the amount of people that’ve told us they’ve FINALLY been able to connect with friends and family and let them know they’re okay 🙂
I’m sure this post will have someone run up my data bill just to troll me, but so be it.
We’ve connected Asheville back to the world! 🙌🏻

I bought Starlink because every time my power went out here, it went out at my tiny little cable/internet provider.
I paid for all the equipment (no monthly fees) and the speed is 10x the old provider.
It’s a smart investment for me, just like my Generac generator was.
I have 2, soon will get another for our other house and maybe for my AZ home too! Love it, works Great with NO Issues.
Starlink is much more important than the initial revenue figures would suggest. Firstly it has massive national security implications. It is the only communications system the Russians couldn’t jam. Without it, the US and indeed the whole West would be screwed in case of a conflict with Russia/China.
Secondly, they are working on technology that will soon dramatically expand the reach of Starlink. You will no longer need to be in close proximity to a special satellite receiver. That is going to mean bye bye X/Rumble bans in places like France, Brazil and other oppressive countries. There will simply be no way for the local authorities to stop it.
It’s a great service, I have had Starlink for three years as there has been virtually no other choice for my location...I was on a wait list for a wireless local provider and just switched over on Wednesday.
Starlink was $120.00 per month for 165 MBS, my new provider is $58.00 for 20 MBS — the decrease in speed will make virtually NO difference at all to us and we will save $744.00 per year.
Go Elon!
Starlink continues to launch satellites and is expected to have 34,400 in orbit by the end of 2027. At that point, over 100 satellites will be getting launched daily so by 2034, some 238,500 Starlink satellites will be orbiting earth (expected to reach a million by 2040 as the pace will continue to accelerate).
There will be cell phone / internet access to virtually every corner of the planet before it’s over
THIS I believe is how the prophecy of Revelation chapter 11 can be fulfilled - specifically verse 9 (8-10 context)
Revelation 11:7-12
King James Version
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

if i were in a remote area or just trying to be off-grid, i’d do it.
50 mbps+ is good enough for most things
