I had “The River” vinyl album in college. I think it was his last good album as well. “New York City Serenade” is an interesting song that I have not paid attention to. I used to listen to Spingsteen more before he came out as a scumbag communist. My favorites were songs that had Clarence Clemmons with a long sax solo. My favorites were probably “Jungleland” and “Thunder Road”. Those bring back memories of driving to see the 12 Hours of Sebring car race in the very early morning on long back roads with no houses or intersections. I had a Porsche Turbo, and had the sound cranked up, and that is probably all I should say about that. They were great driving songs.
