Just posting this one time, to say these have started shipping now, in Vietnam.

They will start being released in the Philippines, next. Apparently in America in 2026. I think.

Not sure whether VinFast will be producing them at their new production plant in North Carolina.

But they are now being produced in Vietnam.

Small (tiny) cars.

This little car would be a large step up from a motorcycle or a tuk tuk. That’s what people seem to not grasp. Vietnam has tons of motorcycles and many people want to go to enclosed and especially air conditioned travel. No wonder I’m Vietnam these are selling like hot cakes. Love the country but man is humidity brutal if these little things have AC they already are a win. I love how the boomer especially fly over boomers immediately scream these things will never survive on the interstates. Yeah because they never would be on a interstate they are urban city cars designed to replace motorcycles and three wheelers in function and price point. Nothing more nothing less. I bet they sell out in Hanoi and also Ho Chi Minh City.

Pretty neat little vehicle and seems like a good fit for that market. I assume people will mostly be charging them at home although it does say they can be fast charged to 70% in 36 minutes.

Get “t-boned” by an 18 wheeler while riding in one and they’ll be mopping you up with a sponge.
