SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) — The City of Springfield is speaking out against misinformed claims that have been disseminated across various communication channels.
The city released a response to the claims that have circulated over the past few weeks, calling out the dangers of spreading false information and the impact that its had on the community.
In a press release, the city said that they have faced financial, reputational, and safety concerns as a result of said claims.

Recent threats tied to these false claims have resulted in the closure of schools, disrupting the learning environment for our children and creating additional anxiety for families across Springfield.
